Large bandsaws for nuclear technology

This large bandsaw is an in-house development and an integral part of our product portfolio. It is a gantry saw with a modular design, which can be individually adapted to customer requirements, and is mainly used to reduce the size of large components in power plant decommissioning. The largest bandsaw is located in the Isar nuclear power plant and has a cutting width of 4000 mm (possible component size of cross section 4000 x 4000 mm). Both the moveable tables and moveable gantry saw allow flexible working. For heavy components, for example, the saw can be moved while the workpiece remains in place.

The drive power is 15 to 18 kW, the weight approx. 75 tons, and we supply the saw including all the equipment such as work tables, tilting device and support stands.

All production and assembly takes place at our premises. We test the system and after successful customer acceptance, we deliver to the customer, where we undertake commissioning directly at the customer’s site through assembly staff who are vetted to assure their reliability. At the same time, we train the personnel on site.

Recent improvements and extensions are the hydraulic clamping piece for clamping workpieces, integrated clamping conveyors and hydraulically adjustable saw blade guides.
